brutta figura da parte dei francesi.. XD la parte dei commenti degli spettatori oculari al match e' divertentissima! :D

per la cronaca esiste ancora un calcio sulla tibia che porta il nome di Charlemont.

In generale reputo che la scherma debba ridurre le azioni ai minimi termini per essere bella.

si ma di che stiamo parlando? c'è stata una specie di sfida nel 1899? o si tratta del periodo in cui le due nobili arti andavano di moda?

l'articolo e' su un match disputato il 19 ottobre 1899 a Parigi, il francese vinse in modo scorretto solo perche' al decimo round ha tirato un calcio nelle balle all'inglese, c'era di mezzo la rivalita' storica tra i due paesi.
